Jeff Allen, the Irmo Fire Marshal, will be our speaker for the evening.  He will be talking about fire safety in and around our homes.

We had several more e-mail alerts sent out this month about unknown people in the neighborhood.  If you would like to get these alerts please send me an e-mail requesting to be placed on the e-mail list.  Please put:  "add me to the Woodland Hills e-mail list"  in the subject line.

We are resuming the “Yard of the Month” for 2003.  We will announce the winner at the meeting.  The committee has chosen a very nice yard.  It is very difficult to choose from so many wonderful yards.  If you would like to have one of our judges look at a special yard, please e-mail me or call me with that information and I will let them know.  I will post a picture of the yard on the web site the weekend after the meeting.

Thanks to Paul Czeresko and his son for working on our entrance sign from St. Andrews.  We now have 2 of our 3 signs repainted

Just a note to let everyone know Fred Carleton is back home and improving.

Our June meeting will be the last one for the first half of the year.  We will not be meeting in July or August.  We will still have a yard of the month.  Check the web for pictures.  We will present the awards at the Sept. meeting.

Our June meeting will be at the Irmo Branch Library on St. Andrews.  Same time as always.  Charles Band will give us a tour and talk about library services.

Lexington County Sheriff’s office will also be there to wrap up the neighborhood watch program so we can get our signs.  The meeting will be about locks, alarms, and other information we can use to protect our homes.

I have the Constitution and By-Laws ready to put on the web site.  I should have that done shortly.

Many many thanks to everyone who sent in a second donation for the neighborhood.  Some of you gave much more than was asked for.  It makes me proud to live in Woodland Hills.  We now have enough to get us to Sept.

Thanks to our many neighborhood volunteers for all of their help.

See you at the meeting

David
